Cross - Discipline Categories
Literature + Art
The Literature & Art category encourages students to combine creative writing with visual storytelling. Participants are invited to create original works that integrate narrative and illustration, such as illustrated stories, picture books, graphic storytelling, or other forms where text and images work together to communicate a story.
In this category, both the written narrative and the visual elements play important roles. Participants should develop original stories and create their own accompanying illustrations that enhance the characters, setting, and emotional tone of the work. The goal is to explore how words and images can complement each other to create a richer storytelling experience.
Evaluation will consider originality of the story, quality and creativity of the illustrations, and how effectively the text and visuals work together to communicate the narrative. Judges will also consider the overall presentation and clarity of the storytelling.
