The 2025 XC Creative Art Contest Ceremony and Workshop concluded with great success, bringing together students, educators, and artists in a shared celebration of creativity and growth.
Following an exceptional year of participation and artistic achievement, we come together to reflect on the moments that shaped the 2025 XC Creative Art Contest. With over 4,200 submissions from students across 22 U.S. states and 7 countries, this year’s program represented a remarkable convergence of creativity, dedication, and global youth voices. The following highlights capture the spirit of this journey—from thoughtful evaluation to meaningful recognition—celebrating the collective effort behind this milestone year.
Gallery
The XC Creative Art Contest exhibition features a diverse range of multimedia works that extend beyond the wall. With integrated QR codes, audiences can explore video, music, and cross-disciplinary works that bridge art, science, and literature—expanding each piece into a layered, immersive experience.
Ceremony
With the generous support of Massachusetts State Representative Richard M. Haggerty and the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), the 2025 XC Creative Art Contest Award Ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of the Top 6 student award recipients and students whose works were selected for exhibition in the XC Gallery. Presented in collaboration with our sponsors, the awards recognized outstanding creativity, interdisciplinary thinking, and a shared commitment to nurturing young artistic voices within the community.
Workshop
The workshop unfolded as a shared circle of listening and exchange, where students, judges, and educators came together to reflect on creativity across disciplines. Through student interviews and an open judge Q&A, participants spoke about art in the age of AI, the value of art education, and how interdisciplinary thinking shapes their perspectives and future paths.
Ideas moved between personal experience and collective inquiry, creating space for curiosity, dialogue, and mutual learning. The session closed with a lighthearted raffle, ending the gathering in a spirit of connection and celebration.
